People go to great lengths to make sure they’re cleansed, detoxed and running smoothly – juice cleanses, lemon juice fasts, raw food and so much more. It gets really complicated and really expensive, fast. There’s a much simpler way to detoxify your body, rooted in Ayurvedic medicine.
The simple secret? Hot water. Drink it.
Drinking hot water softens the lymph tissues, allowing them to filter toxins and usher them out of the body through your excretory system – sweat glands, urinary tract and digestive system.
Hot water has super powers. It…

- Helps clear skin and improves texture + glow factor

Keep a big cup next to you throughout the day and sip on it every chance you get. Getting cold? Dump the old stuff and boil a fresh pot.
The lymphatic system is huge – twice the size of the blood system – and the key player in cleansing the body.
Your lymph system drains fluids out of your body, ridding you of toxins and bacteria and eliminating annoying water retention. You’ll feel more fluid, lithe and comfortable in your body after just one day of sipping the hot stuff.
If that’s not enough incentive, 80% of your immune system is housed in your lymphatic system. Loosening up lymph tissues and allowing them to do their intended job protects against illness – from the common cold to more serious conditions.
Your body can’t detoxify when it’s holding on to toxic free radicals. Facilitating your lymph system is key to feeling great. When your system is running smoothly, issues like rashes, sore throats, bloating and even joint pain dissolve. Drinking hot water is a simple way to optimize your body’s ability to detox.

I do! Both ways are great. Lemon is more cleansing and invigorating. Plain is more stabilizing and calming.
You don’t want to cleanse TOO much, or you could disrupt the balance of your microbiome.
