It’s safe to feel everything – and it’s so necessary.
When we suppress emotions, we intensify and/or numb them.
For example, by suppressing sadness we intensify it, and we numb happiness.
We can’t selectively feel.
When we ignore “negative” emotions, or shame ourselves for having them, we can’t fully feel positive emotions, either, because we’re a little numb.
Then we look to food – or lack of food – to make us feel something: Full, satisfied, on a sugar high, or on a hunger high.
When we feel ALL our feelings through venting, crying, screaming, punching a pillow, or anything else that helps us FEEL and RELEASE, we become peaceful, blissful.
Everything feels easier.
We calibrate – physically, mentally, and emotionally.
When you calibrate, your body and mind settle, and you can hear which foods your body is asking for, because you’re not numb.
From there you can master intuitive eating and nutrition that works for YOU, rather than looking to a diet to save you or fix you.
Because no diet can save you or fix you, in fact, the majority of people experience weight gain and decreased health as a result of dieting.
Do you allow yourself to FULLY feel your feelings?
Would you like your relationship with food and your body to be more loving?
Comment below – I’d love to hear from you.
Love,
Lula
