As I’ve progressed through adulthood, I’ve had more and more of the experiences I’ve always longed for.

Travel.
Wildlife.
Water sports.
Food.
Dance.

There’s a common assumption that as you get older, life becomes repetitive, industrious, dull.

There’s an idea that you’ll have less and less time and energy for the things you love, until you retire.

I can see exactly when and how my life could’ve gone in that direction.

I started working 9-5 at 22, eager to get a “stable” job.

It was amazing for 3 years: Creative, growth-oriented, steady.

I was working as a writer and getting frequent raises and promotions.

Dreamy, right?

It was dreamy, but it wasn’t my personal path.

I knew my path was meant to be unconventional.

So I started pursuing that path, and pursuing the things I really wanted.

I quit my job and went full-time in my business as a health coach and copywriter.

Building my business on the cleanest energy and sturdiest boundaries has created a career I’m excited to show up for, and lots of space in my schedule, too.

Today I’m actively doing the things I want to do – spending each day the way I want to spend it.

I experience more childlike wonder, awe, and joy than I did 10 years ago, around the beginning of my career.

My capacity for pleasure and growth is uncapped.

I chose this path, when it would’ve been easy to go the “safer” route.

This is not to say it’s been 100% easy.

There are challenges on any path…

… but you know it’s YOUR path when you’re certain your soul’s in the driver’s seat.

When your deep intuition keeps saying “yes,” even on the hardest days.

When you know you’re growing in the right direction.

When you’re spending your time the way you want to…

… and even if you choose to work for a couple hours on a Sunday – it’s work you want to be doing.

Soul work.

You know you’re on YOUR path when even on days you have next to nothing in your bank account, you feel unlimited.

Nourished. Lit up. Excited.

Even if it’s a quiet excitement – it’s there, steady under the surface.

Because you know you’re walking your path, rather than someone else’s.
