How can you rewire your relationship with food?
How is it possible to go from strained to stress-free when it comes to food?
Here’s the thing:
The meaning you assign something, and the energy you bring to it, is far more important than the thing itself.
Because nothing exists without meaning and energy.
The only reason the color of the ocean is called “blue” is because a human decided it was.
This changes everything with food.
Someone could open a jar of Nutella, excited to enjoy the taste or even excited to get extra calories in, if that was their intention and in alignment for them.
Another person could fear and avoid the same jar of Nutella like it was the plague, labeling it “bad” or even “dangerous,” which can set off the body’s stress response.
When you set off the body’s stress response by fearing food, that can lead to anxiety, digestive issues, and more health issues.
Instead, we can choose to approach all foods from a place of love and non-judgment.
We can have deep reverence for our personal needs and preferences without judging or fearing anyone else’s.
When you operate from a place of unconditional love and non-judgment, you magnetize love in every area of your life: A body you love, relationships you love, work you love, and a life you love.
Everything calibrates to you: All that you are, and the energy and meaning you bring to everything you do.
How can you apply this?
1. Embrace your current state completely.
Acknowledge and release any judgment or shame.
Recognize your current challenges and fears – don’t downplay them, and allow yourself to fully feel them.
Thank them for trying to protect you, for making you stronger, for expanding your capacity to feel, and for increasing your resilience.
2. Practice emotional and physical hygiene.
Journal out your fears and desires, move your body, meditate, sing, dance, scream, shake.
Get support from a coach or therapist.
No one is meant to do this alone.
3. Choose how you want to feel and how you want to show up.
Write it down. Feel it in your body.
Bring loving intention to everything you do, as much as possible.
It’s not about being perfect, it’s about being real.
When we are real, we are closer to love, until we become love.
Love is real. Love is truth.
When you feel off balance, return to the energies of unconditional love, non-judgment, and self-reverence, then move from there.
What would those energies tell you to do, if they could speak?
How would you take care of your body?
How would you feel, if you moved from a place of unconditional love (first for yourself), non-judgment, and self-reverence?
You don’t have to do this alone. This is not all on your shoulders.
Allow yourself to be guided.
The Universe / Mother Nature / God / your angels are with you.
Trust yourself.
Love yourself.
Choose yourself, and nourish your body from that place.
When you return to love and non-judgment over and over, you rewire your relationship with food, and reorient your system toward love.
Here, there is no such thing as good or bad.
There’s just alignment with certain foods at certain times, and deep reverence for your body’s desires and needs.
