Over the past 13 years, I’ve written almost 400 blog posts.
391 posts between October 2012 and February 2026.
An average of two posts per month.
For much of that time, I was publishing weekly, with some short breaks in the mix.
I’ve sent you many more emails than that.
I started following popular bloggers around 2007, when I was a teenager:
Kath Eats Real Food
Eat Live Run
For The Love of Peanut Butter (Lee Tilghman before she was Lee From America)
I was incredibly inspired by them.
They were posting 1-3 times a day, sharing everything they eat (I had an ED at the time, so this felt aspirational – would never do this today LOL), and they just seemed so “together.”
I dreamed about being a blogger, but it felt unrealistic.
I couldn’t wrap my mind around it.
Looking back, I wasn’t ready to share my life in a structured, regular way at that time.
I’m a late bloomer and an ancient soul at the same time.
My blog has never been my business, but it has quietly become my body of work.
It’s attracted SO much into my life, from dozens of clients to my current client-turned-part-time-employer.
Sharing my experiences online has been incredibly healing for me, and incredibly practical.
While my blog was never my business (in a direct, passive, powered-by-ads type of way), being a writer and coach has been.
As an intern at Teen Vogue and Time Out New York, I was recognized for my writing skills, and published in the print and online editions of both magazines.
When I started working at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2013, I was hired because of my writing skills and wellness experience (I’ve been immersed in personal growth, holistic health, and Traditional Chinese Medicine since I was a child).
When I landed my first big client on the side of my 9-5, I was hired to write for her.
My first health coaching clients came from articles I wrote for Mind Body Green as a baby coach in my early 20s.
Multiple health coaching clients have come through my blog as well.
One was searching for healthy recipes and came across The Power Lunch of Your Metabolism’s Dreams.
Another was trying to figure out How To Stop Binge Eating At Night and found me.
A third worked with me for a year after reading dozens of blog posts, feeling a deep resonance with what I was sharing.
When I went full-time as an entrepreneur in 2018, having one big monthly copywriting client gave me the confidence to leave my job.
For over six years, writing and sharing continued to serve me, attracting many more big copywriting clients, project-based writing clients, and health coaching clients, most of whom worked with me for at least a year, and many for 2-3 years.
In 2024, a blog post I shared on LinkedIn got noticed by a wellness leader I used to work with, and one of his companies became a copywriting client.
Seven months later, that company asked if I wanted to become a part-time employee, on salary.
I’ve now been working with them for over two years.
Since early 2025, I’ve been in a place of deep reflection and refinement.
I’ve intentionally made work the smallest part of my life, streamlining my time and energy into meaningful work that I love, while still having most of my time for myself.
Now feels like the perfect time to take a break from blogging, but this isn’t goodbye.
I’m not shutting down my website or quitting writing (lol never), but I am taking an intentional pause.
I’m not sure how long that pause will be, but my body will tell me exactly when it’s time to come back.
I’ll most likely be coming back in a different way, with a new format, and I’m very excited about that.
As someone who started studying marketing before my prefrontal cortex developed, I absorbed A LOT about how I “should” market…
… and a lot of those rules have stuck with me, even though they were never meant for me, and even though I’ve learned new, more aligned approaches.
Some of those rules have been holding me back in subtle ways, boxing me in.
What I feel coming through with this break and new iteration is a format that feels more integrative and direct – just you and me talking about things that matter, and things that are truly helpful.
I need a space to share all of me, and to see what comes through there.
Thank you so much for being here, I’m sending you tons of love.
