Does Desire Negate Gratitude?

Desire doesn’t negate gratitude.

We can be grateful for what we have, and want what we want.

So often, we talk ourselves down from our desires in the name of “gratitude” — but it’s a mask for fear.

That’s ok.

We can be scared to name our desires, and still, eyes squeezed shut, name them.

It’s safe to want something and not get it.

We can dance in the desire of it, and in that letting go, in that lightness, in that flow…

… we’re more likely to receive it.

By allowing all emotions, we release any gripping, any urge to control our experience here on earth.

The eyes, opened.

The face, relaxed.

The body, receptive.

In that space, we effortlessly attract what’s meant for us.

I wish you the most beautiful Thanksgiving, if you celebrate – and if you don’t, I wish you time for relaxation.

Time away from your regular routine.

Space to rest into the full spectrum of your being, and feel love for all you are, all you’re grateful for, and all you desire.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for allowing me to share my words with you. <3

I hope they support you from time to time.

If you ever wish to reach out, share a reflection, or ask a question – don’t hesitate.

Much love,
Lula
