I rarely do audio and video content, but when I do, I have so much fun with it.
Writing is like breathing to me, which is why you generally hear from me that way.
BUT, I feel more audio and video content coming through soon, and I am SO excited!
That said, today I have a brand new podcast episode to share with you!
I sit down with Susan Casey, MSW, MFA, author and licensed mental health clinician, to chat about intuitive eating and my ED recovery process.
>> You can listen to the episode right here, or on any platform where you listen to podcasts.
We dive into…
- My motivation to seek help around binging and purging.
- What to do if you’re in a “gray zone,” like I felt I was, and don’t feel that your behavior is “disordered enough” to warrant support.
- How to heal your relationship with food and your body by closing up energy leaks.
- The benefits of meditation when you’re struggling with food and body.
- Practical tips to start practicing intuitive eating right way.
I also want to say this…
Back when I was seriously struggling with binging and purging, I FELT like I was in a gray zone, because I did not have obvious physical symptoms, i.e. super low body weight.
In retrospect, I do not feel like it was a gray zone at all.
Any amount of intentional purging – and binging / restricting, for that matter – is not healthy.
If you’re struggling with this and wondering if you should get support, please do.
You deserve it.
You deserve to feel incredible.
Whether it’s everyday thought loops around food and your body, or more physical disordered behavior, support is available.
What’s your current experience with food and your body?
I would love to hear from you in the comments below and send you some support.
Much love,
Lula
P.S. If you like listening to me, I have a couple other podcasts out, with Jared Levenson, and Ellie Aaron. These were recorded a while back, so please note that some of my beliefs have changed, as they should! XO
